Documentary Dances
In this strand of work, Mobile Dance works with communities of people who are connected through a locality. We combine documentary filmmaking and dance-for-camera to create videos in which the local participants and artists "tell" about their local area and their relationship to it.

"Fruit Pieces"
Fruit Pieces
A series of solo dances.
From 1962 until the end of the German Democratic Republic (east Germany), the Bundesrepublik Deutschland (west Germany) paid for the release of political prisoners in hard cash and also in various goods. On 19 August 1964 the first delivery of oranges was agreed.
In Fruit Pieces, four dancers of different generations duet with oranges to explore the relative „cost“ of a human being. Festspielhaus Hellerau (2008), Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer (Berlin Wall Memorial) (2009), Podewil, Berlin (2014).
Funded by Festspielhaus Hallerau and the Project Fund for Cultural Education, Berlin.
