We are looking for dance performances for the Tanzparty at Uferstudios.
For what?
The Tanzparty is a participative quarterly event at Uferstudios which brings Berliners old and new together to dance. There are music and dance performances from artists and children/young people alongside other formats that bring us together with dance, food and conversation. The event has been running for three years and audiences are typically around 200 people.

Who?
Uferstudios and Mobile Dance work in partnership on the Tanzparty in the network Berlin Mondiale. Jo Parkes is the artistic director of the parties. The performances will be selected by a jury of stakeholders in the project.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for performances between 5 and 15 minutes long, which need minimal technical support and can appeal to a wide range of people of all ages. Due to the intercultural profile, we are looking especially for performances free of a language barrier. The context of the performances is informal, the audience can come and go in the space. Performances can take place in a simple stage setting or you may want to propose something for the courtyard of Uferstudios. The young people who are performing at the Tanzparty are working with the theme Widerstand/Resistance so we are particularly interested in work which has a relationship to this theme, but it is not essential.
Payment
We can pay 100 Euro per performance. This is a minimal budget so we are looking for pre-existing pieces.

With your submission please send a short description of the piece (no longer than 750 characters including spaces) and short bio(s) of the creator/performer(s). Please state on which of the Tanzparty dates you are available.
