Documentary Dances
In this strand of work, Mobile Dance works with communities of people who are connected through a locality. We combine documentary filmmaking and dance-for-camera to create videos in which the local participants and artists "tell" about their local area and their relationship to it.

In Residence: On Tradition
From 2012 - 2016, Mobile Dance was "in residence" on Badtrasse, Wedding, Berlin every summer for one to three weeks: researching with people working on the street alongside school children and their teachers (Ufer/Outside), dancing in the hairdressers (On Beauty) and finally moving, talking and making on the theme of tradition (On Tradition). On Tradition was an exhibition of 12 short video portraits of people working on Badstrasse, which screened in their shop windows for two weeks in the summer of 2016.
The project On Tradition was funded by Fonds Darstellend Kunst and delivered in partnership with Tanzfabrik Berlin e.V.
